cat town

I n sunny reach lcct7.40am. neo couldn't use lrt, apparently closed until 10am. took a cab but have argument with him, got out and call a direct airport cab. we survey the ground floor airport for a while, then went to old town white cofee to have our breakfast. neo came around 8.20. finish our breakfast at 8.35. decide to check in. while queuing up for our turn a girl at the back told us we dont have to queue up but just go to one of the kiosk behind to get our boarding pass. and she ask us to help her to carry some of her luggage on board. of course its a big no. anyway we went straight to the kiosk but somehow after multiple attempts we could only get the return boarding pass but not the departing boarding pass. I ask a worker who happens to pass by and he told us to go to the main receptionist to enquire. we found out later from the receptionist that we are pass the time to log in online , so we have to go back to the counter to get our boarding pass. and we got only 35 minutes to do it, luckily the queue now is much shorter compare to the earlier one. we manage to get our boarding pass with only 25 minutes. and we got to the boarding gate there's another long queue.a bit panicky sets in. finally we board the plane with only 15 minutes to spare.

i set at the window took some pics. we touchdown kuching at 11.05am, 15 minutes ahead of schedule.sunny look around the liqor shop awhile. we proceed to the the taxi coupon counter and got a cab for rm26. after a minute boarding the cab the driver ask for the coupon. i show him, but he told me its not the correct one, so i must have dropped it. the cab driver turn back and ask me to enquire from the taxi counter again. luckily the counter girl,told me she found it on the floor, apparently i dropped it, but she conveniently neglect to tell me. for she could resold the ticket to another passenger.
it took about less than 25 minutes to reach our hotel. we decided to take the budget hotel instead of the 3star hotel(harbor view) after sunny reason out that we will spend most of our time outside the hotel. so its a waste of money paying for something we are not going to used a lot.
the hotel facade doens't look nice at all in fact it doenst look like a hotel at all. but the interior of the hotel looks not too bad. and the hotel room itself is ok even its windowless. initially we were given rooms at different floors. but neo insisted we should stay at the same floor , which we got.

change our clothes, quickly go out to find choon hui cafe which the cab driver also recommend but its already closing the boss told us to come back on tuesday coz they close on monday.
